Toyo Tires to sponsor GWS GIANTS for 2017 and 2018 AFL season
Toyo Tires has announced it will renew its co-major sponsorship of the GWS GIANTS Football Club for the 2017 and 2018 AFL Premiership seasons.
The announcement comes as the GIANTS reflect and recover from a historic preliminary finals challenge, following a breakout 2016 AFL season.
Toyo Tires’ Australian Chief Executive Officer, Michael Rudd, said the sponsorship renewal demonstrated well deserved confidence in the club, fans and team.
“We are proud to commit to the team and the fans for 2017 and 2018, with a view to a long relationship.
“It’s especially pleasing to announce our support following the biggest games the club has ever played, and the most significant AFL game NSW has ever seen.
“2016 has been a coming-of-age season. The GIANTS are challenging the traditional powers in the AFL, and Toyo Tires challenges tyre market leaders. The GIANTS’ energy, spirit and community values are a great match for the Toyo Tires brand.”
GWS GIANTS Chief Commercial Officer Richard Burnet said the tyre maker’s commitment would see the brand tied to the GIANTS’ bright future.

Toyo Tires’ co-major sponsorship comes with options for extension to 2020.
