David Wilson, director and lead instructor at Adventure 4WD has been a 4WD trainer since a time before the internet. He lives and breathes life off the beaten track and is passionate about sharing his knowledge. We want to help Dave spread the word, so every Wednesday; Toyo Tires will be sharing one of his snack sized 4WD tyre tips.
When the track gets wet the M/T’s get going.
In many parts of this great country of ours, it gets wet and the tracks you’ll be driving around get muddy. If you spend a lot of your day in this type of environment you need a seriously good tyre designed to cope with slush and keep you moving.
In my opinion that tyre is Toyo’s Open Country M/T, the mud-terrain tyre proven in Government, in industry, on the racetrack and by tourers across our great brown land.
Open Country M/T has a unique tread block design carefully crafted to achieve two things, quietness seldom heard on a muddy and grip in foul conditions. With an exceptionally strong carcass it’s got great puncture resistance and a supple rubber compound that won’t chip or tear. This is the same tyre used by the best off-road racers around the world, hammered on the gnarliest of tracks and with minimum wear.
