Essential viewing and a Merry Christmas from the team at Toyo Tires.
First of all, thank you for your support in 2014. It has been an amazing year for Toyo locally as well as globally, and 2015 is going to be a bumper 12 months.
Being surrounded by such an enthusiastic and passionate group of users from every corner of automotive enthusiasm is humbling.
From the off-road obsessed and lap-time lunatics to owners of commercial vehicles driven daily in the city or high kilometre commuters, we believe in building a rapport with Toyo users and taking our innovation and technology-driven approach to performance and safety to as many Australians as possible.
Over the festive break, you may be loading down the family wagon or throwing some essentials in the back and getting gone.
Regardless of your current choice of tyre brand, we would implore you to conduct a simple and quick tyre safety check before you hit the open road. Doing 110km/h on the Pacific Highway in holiday traffic isn’t the ideal place to realise you need your tyres looked at.
Check your tyre pressure and your tread depth along with your balance and alignment. Emergencies happen and your tyres will make the difference. If you aren’t confident or something feels off, pull in to a local tyre dealer and have a professional check it over.
Now, as promised, here are the five best videos on the internet of cars doing Christmas style things.
A couple of years old but still a Christmas classic; this Zokusha peddling bad boy appears to have added a motorcycle throttle to his shakotan GX71. Giving the pedal foot a well-deserved break, the quick response of the secondary throttle and aspirated bark of the 1G-GE ensures that when the carol book is passed around at the next parking area, he won’t be out of tune.

Supercar super nerd Tim Burton, AKA Shmee150, attempts to cook his Christmas dinner using the overrun from the titanium exhaust system of the Oakley Designs LP670 Aventador. Despite Shmee tucking into a suspiciously pre-prepared looking turkey leg it looks as though the agitated V-12 fails to fully cook the bird. However, the Lamborghini does appear to burn our host and looks quite cute with red nose and antlers.
Two inexplicably wealthy teens spend 20 hours wrapping an Audi R8 in actual gift wrapping paper, with sticky tape. The festively appointed coupe is then taken to a grim industrial precinct to drift (or more accurately, to repeatedly spin out) at the hands of a rather ham-fisted Santa Claus.
A premeditated and sustained loss of control incident involving undecorated and poorly secured evergreen conifers. New Jersey’s Faction Motorsports star in this wanton display of Christmas tree tsuiso negligence that should not be encouraged nor imitated. Thankfully, these anti-social youths were quickly reeled in and sent packing by local law enforcement.
Supercar Jingle Bells is exactly what you might expect. While it isn’t pitch perfect, the 2014 edition of the yuletide super cut contains all manner of automotive exotica spitting flame and howling away for your aural pleasure.
