Live the race at the Toyo Tires Attack The Dirt R/C Arena.
Stadium Super Trucks have been steadily rolling off ships and into Adelaide in preparation for the Clipsal 500, and at Toyo HQ we have been putting together a side show that will give fans a hands-on SST experience.
Picture race day: tyre smoke hangs in the air, the smell of burning race fuel, howling exhaust noise thumps shaking eardrums, bright liveries flash past at ten tenths.
Watching the on-track spectacle that is Stadium Super Trucks will leave spectators hungry for a high flying serving of speed and horsepower.
To prevent punters attempting to three-wheel slide or get air off speed bumps in the family wagon on their way home, aspiring SST steerers can whet their appetite for destruction at 1/10th scale and take control of some of the fastest R/C cars on the planet.
Developed in consultation with an Australian off-road racing legend, the Toyo Tires Attack The Dirt R/C arena is designed for maximum fun.
Featuring jumps (including a tabletop jump) a set of whoops and banked corners, the track will pit friend against friend as six Traxxas Slash R/C trucks challenge each other for ultimate bragging rights.
Roosting thick clouds of dirt, the scaled-down super trucks will muscle their way through corners, fly off jumps and bump over whoops with reckless abandon. Equipped with off-road tyres, planetary differentials, torque controlled slipper clutches and oil-filled shocks, the Traxxas cars are as close as you can get to the real thing.
There will be competition times throughout the four days of the Clipsal 500. A knock-out style round robin will lead to the ultimate showdown on race day. Big prizes are on offer for those who have what it takes to Attack The Dirt and top the podium.
Special guests and drivers from the series will also be stopping by throughout the event to see if their skills on the big boy track translate to 1/10th scale.
There will be a real life off-road racing truck on site to look at while waiting for your next race, as well as Traxxas and Toyo trade stands where keen racers can purchase R/C cars and Toyo tyres.
The Attack The Dirt R/C arena will be located near the Stadium Super Truck race paddock, near gate 10 and is open 9am to 4pm from the 26th of February to the 1st of March.
