PRESSURE LOW? HOW FAR SHOULD YOU GO?

Tyres down to tackle a nasty track and compressor nowhere to be seen? Don’t despair.

Let your tyres down to tackle that nasty section of track, and forgotten the compressor? Don’t despair. You’ll still be mobile, albeit at a slower pace than before.

You are certainly taking things into your own hands, so what follows is just a guide.

At 15psi you’ll likely be safe up to 30km/h, whilst 20psi should be good for speeds up to 40km/h, 25psi to 50km/h and 30psi might be good for 80km/h or more. There’s plenty of scope in that lot to get you back to a service centre, a fellow camper or a farmer’s house to bump them back up.
