Team Isuzu D-MAX pushes the limits of grip and performance.
The Iron Summit is part carnival thrill ride, part performance prover. Packing in passengers, an Isuzu MU-X climbs a 45 degree incline, levels off, and is then tipped on to a 45 degree descent.
“The 45 degrees is truly mind-bending,” says Team D-MAX’s Tom Hudson. “You can’t wipe the smile off people’s faces.
“We use Toyo’s Open Country A/TII tyres on the Iron Summit as they give us the grip we need to get up and over. We also use the Open Country H/T on our show vehicles. It’s a great product on dirt, gravel, mud and on the Summit.”
The boys are also performing non-stop stunts whenever they are in town, with trips on two wheels always a crowd pleaser.
“We are doing hundreds of two-wheel runs a day,” says D-MAX stunt master Jack Monkhouse. “The Toyos stand up to it like you wouldn’t believe.”
